Case Study on ‘CIDADE FM’ Photo Contest

About:
CIDADE FM (City FM) is a Portuguese radio station that focuses on international and national hits. The radio station was launched as Radio Cidade in 1992 and changed its name to Cidade FM in 2004 and is operated by a Portuguese radio company Media Capital.
Campaign Focus:
CIDADE FM targeted all the creative music lovers of Portugal and aimed to increase their involvement with the brand by sharing their creativity. Cidade FM targeted the younger audience of 15-24 years age bracket. Their motive behind this photo contest was to find the top 5 fans of “One Direction” and arrange their meeting with the band. One Direction are an English-Irish pop boy band based in London and had a concert happening in Atlantic Pavilion on May 26th 2013.
CIDADE FM – “One Direction” Photo Contest 2013:
With the help of “Photo Contest“ app provided by SocialAppsHQ, Cidade FM asked their fans to fill a simple entry form with some details: first name, last name, country, phone number and email to win the meet & greet ticket to the One Direction Concert. After the entry form, one needed to create an image that represents the phrase: “The City FM has the best music in the world and takes me to meet One Direction”. The participant would then invite all friends to vote for the image. Of the 10 most voted, the jury chooses the 5 most creative images for City FM.
