Most of us have heard of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. However, did you know that there are quite a few other social networks? Check out of some of these niche-specific options, and you might just find your new favorite spot to visit online.

Path
Path is very similar to Facebook, but gives more flexibility and options. For example, you don’t just like a friend’s post, you can choose from five different emoticons to share how you feel about the content or photograph. It has similar features, including status updates, messages, photo sharing, and location tagging. The Path interface is actually easier to use since it is very simple, but not many people currently have a profile, so you will miss many of your friends’ updates. It also has a free app so you can try it out before you make the switch from Facebook.
