Until now Pinterest did not allow users to pin GIF images that could animate and become still upon clicking them. A new feature only available to selected pinners will be able to play GIFs within the platform.
Now, after uploading a GIF to a pinboard, users can play or pause the GIF by clicking a small “play” button in the lower left-hand corner of the image.
